Q.

I’m a breast feeding mother of 13 month old..can I get vaccine shot for COVID-19? If yes, any probabilities of side effects? Please advice

A. current guidelines are that covid vaccination is not for pregnant ,nursing mothers and children but there are recent studiesthat support the vaccination .so u need to chose after consulting ur Doctor

A. government of India does not allow lactating mother and pregnant mother to take vaccination. at present the government does not have any statistics and studies and clinical trials to show whether this vaccine is safe for them or not. but according to Western studies and western medical guidelines they recommend that lactating mothers can take the vaccination. also so there are many e gynaecological and paediatric doctors would recommend this. the final decision has to be taken by the mother after consulting your personal doctor
