Q.

Hello Dr. My baby has cradle cap. I was using wood pressed coconut /almond oil twice a day and bath with lukewarm water . Recently I have stopped oiling and for the first time I used Sebamed shampoo day before yesterday. They seem to dry out a bit. However I want to know more about this condition and also in how long will it go? Do I need to add anything more in the treatment line? Sebamed is newly purchased product. I was thinking to continue it if no contraindications. Thanks in advance

A. Namaste Mom, Its quite common on babies, and is normal , it fades off gradually , wash their scalp well, but not harshly though, use safe baby shampoo as well, If this condition does not imporve or goes off even beyond 12 months then diagnosis need to be done

A. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much. Please masaage baby hair with BabyHug coconut oil and leave overnight. Also use a sulphate free and paraben free shampoo like MamaEarth shampoo to wash baby hair. Please massage baby with BabyHug coconut oil. Also use Sebamed soap to bathe the baby. Use a good brand moisturiser like BabyHug moisturiser or MamaEarth moisturiser for the baby. Also use a good brand sunscreen lotion for the baby. Thanks and take care
