Good morning doctor My baby is 4 month old. we both recently recovered from covid-19. Now as per rule, i have to wait for 3 months to get vaccinated. after 6 months, as he will start eating apart from my milk. he will be 7 months old when i will be breastfeeding my kid after getting vaccinated (but few times only my query-1) will he be getting fever when i will be vaccinated for covid 2) as i will be breastfeeding less, will it reducing amount of antibodies of covid 19, as compared to when i was exclusively giving my milk

A. Don't worry it's absolutely safe for lactating mothers to get vaccinated and If you are breastfeeding, or planning to breastfeed, you can continue breastfeeding after vaccination. Clinical trials on the use of coronavirus vaccines while breastfeeding are not advanced. However, the available data do not indicate any harm to the breastfed infant.
