Drinking water is safe for newborns?

A. Water is not given to newborn only milk to be given you have to give only breastfeeding /milk to the child till completion of 6 months of age and before 6 months of age if you are giving any type of outside food or complementary feeding it can cause digestion problem in the child. no need to give water also because breast milk contains 80% of water and water also is given after six months of age only. it is advisable to continue the the multi vitamin and supplement medicines given by your doctor.

A. Water is not supposed to be given before completing the age of six months because breastfeeding or formula feeding actually whatever feeding you are giving to the child has sufficient amount of water into it which is why no extra water is needed
