Q.
can putting mustard oil or coconut oil in navel causes infection? As my MIL always put oil in my baby navel with neosporin powder, but today I saw swelling in her navel. she is 23 days old.

Sarika guptaMom of 2 children4 years agoA. hello there ma'am please do not worry about it too much and also please avoid to use any oil as per my opinion and and use newsprin powder on baby navel area and also use betadin ointment on that area. and if there is pus then evaluate once with doctor in person.
