Q.

#asktheexperts mam,my 3 month old daughter has red patchy rough rashes on her cheeks near temple area.it was a small patch which is increasing.can i apply candid cream on that.does applying oil on her hair aggravate this condition?

A. the thing about atopic dermatitis is that you have to apply moisturizing lotion as well as coconut oil or any type of moisturizing lotion again and again on the skin and then only the problem will decrease. this condition is only controlled and will decrefase with increasing age of the child. your target is that whenever you see that the skin of the child has again become dry then again apply moisturizing lotion so that full 24 hours moisturizing is present on tfhe skin of the child then only this problem will be controlled and then cured.

A. You should go ahead with using calamine lotion because candid is basically for fungal infection and this is not a fungal infection so don’t use this one as of now go ahead with using the green that is going to be more appropriate as per the situation and that’s going to be calamine lotion in Lusaka
