Play peek-a-boo with your kid. By playing a game with your kid, you will provide her the attention she needs, which can help in distracting her. Pick her up in your arms as this will make her feel comfortable. Talk to her and reassure her that she is safe with you. Remain calm and stand your ground. Your eyes and face should carry a neutral expression and your voice should be firm. Once she understands that you won't budge, her tantrum will lose steam within no time.

Offer small portions of food and give more only when she asks. Offer more finger foods. Offer colourful foods and cut foods into different shapes using food cutters as colours and shapes attract the attention of the kid. Offer foods in colourful plates or bowls. Persistence is the key. Keep offering the same food again and again and one fine day, the kid might just eat it. Make family meals a pleasant family experience so that the kid learns healthy eating habits from the parents and siblings. Let her be a part of meal preparations such as setting up the table before mealtime or selecting the vegetable to be cooked. This would arouse her interest in eating.
