#AskTheExpert I had delivered twin girls c section on Sep 14th ,they take both lactogen 1 and breastfeed and cry whenever gas is released.Can i give colicaid and they both cough and nose block.What medicines do you prescribe?

Gas in smaller babies is a very common and a Matter of concern most of the times for care giver. its mostly because of immaturity of the gut . forgymula feed or early introduction of cows milk in babies may be aggravating factor. proper burping after each feed is very important. Enzyme preparations like aglozyme or vitazyme can be beneficial.Also colicaid drops can be given.
