#AskTheExpert Hello.. Metformin 500 is safe in pregnancy.. I m expecting 27 week.

If you’re having diabetes complicating pregnancy than the first line of treatment will be giving metformin 500 and it is safe during pregnancy and if the blood glucose levels are not managed with this also then they will go ahead with insulinWrite Your Answer Here

Shilpa SalwanMom of 2 children3 years agoA. any medication during pregnancy without prescription is something that is a big issue please consult with your gynecologist once before taking any kind of medication as even the mild anti allergic medicine can also be harmful to the baby at times
