However, make sure to follow these safety guidelines: Choose BPA-free and non-toxic material – Opt for silicone, rubber, or wooden teethers that are free from harmful chemicals. Ensure it’s easy to clean – Wash the teether regularly with warm water and mild soap. Avoid liquid-filled or gel-based teethers – These can leak if punctured. Check for choking hazards – Avoid small parts or detachable pieces that can be swallowed. Cold teethers for relief – Refrigerate (but don’t freeze) the teether to help soothe sore gums. If your baby seems uncomfortable or shows signs of an allergic reaction, discontinue use and consult a pediatrician.
