Dear mum as a breastfeeding mother you should have a balance diet which provides variety of food groups also increase one healthy meal more as compared to before because requirements of the breastfeeding mother are high coming back to pre pregnancy weight will take some time and consistent efforts so be patient. eat mindfully avoid intake of high fat sugar and salt containing processed packaged food control intake of high fat and sugar lactational foods like panjiri ladoo excess ghee and oil intake lean protein sources and good intake of seasonal fruits and vegetables small frequent meals do not skip breakfast good water intake begin to exercise after consulting doctor Exclusive breastfeeding till 6 months and Continued breastfeeding till 2 years helps As a precaution, mothers who undergo c-section are asked to observe a rest period of six weeks before they can start to exercise and even if they start they have to go slow with their pace. The best way to start exercising after a c-section is to indulge in brisk walking, yoga or swimming, after consulting with your doctor and taking into account how you have healed. Strenuous exercises like joining a gym or ab-crunches can be done later like two to three months after starting with the basic exercise. for reducing Stretch marks moisturize your skin. have good fluid intake. have a balanced healthy diet especially intake of Beta carotene rich fruits and vegetables, good fat, and vitamin e from flax seed, pumpkin seed, walnut, almond, wheat germ, fish However stretch mark may fade but not completely disappear. take them as a souvenir from the life changing experience of being a mother.
