Shaista TarannumMom of a 17 yr 4 m old boy5 years agoA. I would suggest you buy ragi....wash it nicely and dry it thoroughly. After that get it powdered. Seive it nicely and store in a container...preferably in a glass or steel container...not plastic.
Take about 1 teaspoon ragi powder and add quarter cup water (boiled and cooled water). Mix it well and then cook this mixture for a few minutes continuously stirring until it comes to a boil. Adjust the consistency as per your requirement.add a little of jaggery or a pinch of salt....or if you think your baby will eat without these also then you can try without adding sugar or salt first.
soak the idli in some watery sambar or milk and make it stand feed him..you can add a bit of puffed rice to make the idli softer while making the batter.
