Q.

my baby is 2 years 5 months old and has been suffering from constipation for the last 8 months. Stool is often hard and sometimes painful to pass. We have used medicines before, but the problem keeps coming back after stopping them. Can you please help us find the root cause and suggest a long-term or permanent treatment plan?

A. The "P" Fruits: Offer fruits that naturally loosen stool. Think pears, plums, peaches, and prunes. Prune or pear juice mixed with a little water can work wonders. Increase Fluids: Make sure they are drinking plenty of water throughout the day. If they are consuming a large amount of cow's milk, try cutting back slightly, as excess milk can sometimes cause constipation in toddlers. Fiber Boost: Introduce fiber-rich foods gradually. Whole-grain breads, oatmeal, broccoli, and beans are great options.

A. You should give plenty of fluids and fibre in the diet of the child try to improve papaya twice a day buttermilk twice a day and make your child sit into malAsana in the morning for at least 5 to 10 minutes and give form water to drink that time plus I am also going to advise you to give about 30 ML of prune juice in the night before sleeping and apply some castor oil in the naval
