Q.

My baby fell on a wooden toy and cried a lot for a minute. He’s fine though but should I be concerned? As it was a hard wooden toy

A. If he cried for a minute but is now completely normal, active and behaving like himself, that’s reassuring. Just keep an eye on him for the next 24 hours and watch for vomiting, unusual sleepiness, swelling or any change in behaviour. For little ones, I also prefer toys with smooth, well-finished edges and age-appropriate designs. We’ve had a good experience with NESTA Toys’ wooden toys for this reason. ❤️

A. Any Fall injury specially head injury needs to be assessed properly . In any such case certain symptoms needs to be checked like loss of consciousness reccurrent vomiting or any abnormal moment or convulsions . Such case needs immediate medical intervention as there could be some internal injury . Otherwise application of ice locally to reduce the swelling and pain can be done along with some analgesic like paracetamol. Recurrent fall injury for a cguhild should be avoided as it can lead to some chronic manifestations occasionally . Also teeth irnjury should be rule out in any such case which is commonly associated and can be easily missed out most of the time .
