Q.

i recently started breastfeeding to my 7 weeks baby, before that there were latching issues and there fore I was expressing and was giving milk in bottle. his weight was increasing. but now from the time I started breastfeeding, his weight is same since 1 week, however almost 8 diapers m getting every day, he is not fussy, sleeping well. but m confused as why his weight not increasing

A. dear mum, you might not get an idea of your babys weight in 1 week. you should check after a month. on an average baby should gain at least 500 grams of weight per month.

See what happens in this time the milk that you are providing is of course good in quantity that is why the wet diapers are happening the quality is not that good that the child increases on the way and it is common to be seen with a lot of women so just check with your doctor they will guide you and advise you accordingly what’s meant to be done and prefer consulting a lactation doctor
