Q.

I have two daughters, and they are now seven months old. They were preterm babies (35 weeks). Currently, we are giving them formula milk and have started solids, but they do not like it and refuse to eat solid foods. They prefer formula milk only. Both babies drink around 700 ml per day, so approximately four packs of formula powder are required per week. The cost is very high; I cannot afford it. Could you please suggest any alternatives to formula milk?

A. Namaste Mom, Now alone formula milk wont be sufficient for their growth, weaning foods are necessary , prefer to gradually reduce the amount of formula and give preference to solids as such add variety and flavour and taste

A. Madam usually after six months it is suggested that you can go for regular tone pasteurised milk but since your kids are premature you please confirm with your doctor and you can give that by adding 20 to 30% of water into that and when we talk about the child is not eating properly it’s common you just have to keep making an effort to feed the kids graduate the kids will accept the taste of the food that you are giving
