Q.

Hi. My daughter is 18 months old now and she’s active in everything she does and also grasps and understands everything easily but when we call by her name Ahika she doesn’t respond. It might also be because we call her by her nicknames at home instead of the original one. Is there anything we need to do to get her to respond to her name

A. I totally agree with you on this part of when you called with different names to a child sometimes they get confused what is your child responding to that one particular particular name that you use most often and the child know that you are calling him or her because that’s very important because at this age don’t respond to their names and don’t understand things and they’re busy in their own world and all they could be a little bit of deal in the growth of your child
