#asktheexperts Can I put mustard oil /Olive oil on my baby's head for all day.My paediatrician said Bathe immediately post applying oil on head.I want to know the reason for this

ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician3 years agoA. you may keep oil on, on his scalp. Bathe your child gently with a mild soap in warm water after massage. You can use the same soap to clean their scalp.

AbhayaMom of a 16 yr old boy3 years agoA. Hi mom it is just because the dirt or dust gets collected in the scalp which can block hair follicles and can cause infection. u can just apply for one hour and wash after that.
