#asktheexperts baby has fever. She had cold and then fever . On mother's feed along with semi solid food given twice a day. . Mother also had cold. what can be given to boost immunity.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a hgproper evaluation by the doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prescribed.
if any fever is there paracetamol can be givedn to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .
