#AskTheExpert My baby is suffering from fever abd cold.. Calpol 100 or calpol 250 which one will be given and how much???

DR SHIWAJIRAO PATILGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Hello, your baby boy is 12 months old and if he is having a fever less than 100 degrees then don’t give him any medicine but otherwise syrup calpol 120 mg 2 ml at every 6/8 hours

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorazdnt bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
