Q.

#asktheexpert Hi sir My daughter has been continuously going since last week.not yet reduced. Initially Dr. Consultation taken, medicines using but still motion was not reduced. How much time is taken for reducing or is there any other problem for baby?

A. if loose motion of the child is not improving the foremost thing you have to do is take a follow with your doctor. it is advisable not to give outside milk if going on and you may have to switch to either lactose free milk or soya milk. please go for stool examination as well as stool culture which will differentiate lactose intolerancez with infection. you can continue to give probiotics like such a super flora gg and zinc supplements. (you have to hold multivitamin and iron during loose motions) many times loose motions improving 10 to 15 days also in case of viralz diarrhoea.

A. Until 2 months of age, they may pass a stool after each feeding. But, if stools suddenly increase in number and looseness, suspect diarrhea. If it lasts for 3 or more stools, the baby has diarrhea. If the stools contain mucus, blood or smell bad, this points to diarrhea.
