#asktheexpert baby is 2 years 9 months Having fever fron last 12 days Took crosin then meftal now ibugesic Fever still persistent on 100.8 Diet okay Mild cold

A. the first medicine will always be paracetamol and it is given according to weight and power of paracetamol medicine you are having. give liquids and easily digestible food and paracetamol should be given only after food. keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever armpit temperature of hundred or more is considered as fever to body sponge to decrease the surface temperature and should be zcarried out for at least 20 minutes with normal temperature water. higher medicines (ibugesic / meftal-p) whether required or not will be told by the doctor.

Q. Baby got fever, we have given T98 and still fever was persistent and hence we were giving Ibugesic as suggested by Doctor. Since it did not work, we went ahead and replaced Ibugesic with Meftal and it worked fever reduced. I feel that Meftal works better than Ibugesic to my baby. My query is that Can T98 and Meftal is a good combo with one hour interval.if fever still persist?
