#AskTheExpert Am the mother of 6 month old preterm boy baby now am breastfeeding for him. can i put corona vaccine for me. it will affect breastfeeding any ways plz clarify doctor

A. yes you can take. Covid-19 vaccine can be taken by pregnant women and also by mothers who are lactating and it is safe and it is absolutely good for both the baby and mother as it provides immunity against the covid-19 infection there is no side effect and the mother can breastfeed the baby after the vaccine.

A. Hello dear parent! As per government guidelines breastfeeding mothers are allowed to take covid vaccinations. Give a gap of 2 hours between vaccination and feeding. Eat a well balanced healthy diet and keep yourself hydrated all through the day while breastfeeding your baby. Regularly massage your baby with Babyhug daily massage oil.
