Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prescribed.
if any fever is there paracetamol can be ui given to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .

Wikoryl Five drops twice a day can be given to the child this is going to be the best medicine as of now you can give the medicine for three days or to your child I know also you can give steam to the child indirectly twice a day that is going to be helpful
