what is the preferable age to start train to hold pencil and writing for a kid ?

From the age of 2 1/2 to 3 years you can give crayons to the child who scribble on a sheet slowly the child is going to get better grip on the pencil and the child would learn to write over the period but it is a good age for you to introduce a tripod crayon to the child
