Q.

My son is 8 months old. I am still breastfeeding. He is around 8 kg's of weight . He is crawling now and trying to stand . Only this month started solid food ,he is eating only little amount . Almost all times I am breastfeeding him .I have a doubt that whether he is getting enough milk . This thought upsets me a lot .After every feed he looks active and playful but my family members looking at the stomach of him and telling he has a flat stomach and he is not getting enough milk like that. After every feed he is active and happy but his belly looks flat. Flat belly means whether he hasn't got enough milk ??? sometimes he is drinking more milk . sometimes refuses to drink . whether that means I am having low milk supply?

A. dear mum weight for age of baby is fine, also is active playful achieving growth milestones then it indicates good health baby should be breastfeed on demand do not doubt your milk supply as it is dependent upon the suckling by baby but it is important to focus on complementary food as well baby should be given top food three times in a day and also begin to give finger food breast milk alone is not sufficient to fulfill the nutritional requirements
