my son is 17.5 months and his weight 8.37 kg is just below WHO range, Is it necessary to increase weight to be in range? If yes any diet or supplements or medicine to be given

A. dear parent, a weight of 8.37 kg is on the lower side for your child at the age of 17 months. weight should be within the range. for healthy weight gain, u should give protein rich foods like eggs, pulses, legumes, curd, paneer, cheese, nuts.

A. It is not necessary that the weight gain should be as per WHO but he has the weight gain should be heavy as per the expectation that is there so right now on gender standards also if I don’t include WHO is less child should be at least 11 kg
