my daughter is having fever since 3 days... antibiotics also started...it's d third day of fever..1st day fever was 103f...n it's come down after 4 hrs also...2nd day fever was coming back after 6 -8 hrs... today morning around 9am i gave her meftal half tab....fever came back after 10-11 hrs ..it's below 100f. ..now it's 99.5...should i gv her paracetamol??? n make her sleep??? I don't know what to do.... already she is having many other medicines for cold and cough...

ExpertDr. Mohammed imranPaediatrician3 years agoA. yes you can give pcm for fever In fever give pcm drops as prescribed by your doctor give tepid water sponging maintain hydration if the problem perissts kindly consult your doctor for proper examination and medication maintain hygeine

Author of questionMom of a 7 yr 1 m old girl3 years agoA. my daughter is having fever since 4 days...1st it was 103...n didn't came down in 4hrs also ..2nd day it was coming back in 6-8hrs..3rd day 10-11 hrs ..today is 4th day..morning around 5:30 am i gave paracetamol...it was normal till evening...thn slowly it increased n now it's 10.40 pm...her temperature is 100.3f...she is playful..untill v touch her than came to know that her body is hot.. antibiotics is also going on...she is having cold n cough since a month..it started with fever..n now again fever.. changed 2 doctors...her chest xray is also normal..2nd doctor said her tonsils are swollen..plz doctor help what can be done

Yes you should give medicine to the child because 99.5°F is also fever only till the time the temperature does not reduce down the 99° even if it is 98.5 then you do not have to go ahead with giving medicine but currently your child is having fever go ahead with the medicine pleaseWrite Your Answer Here
