Q.
my baby was having a cold for the last 10 days The doctor suggested a telekast l kid for 7 days He was cured with medicine.but after 3 days again he has cold,too much running nose.what should i do?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done andtr according to the type of cough its prescribed.
if any fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .
