VishalMom of a 7 m old boy1 week agoA. "It's quite common for 7-month-old babies to resist solids initially. Here are a few tips:
Start Slow: Try offering just 1-2 teaspoons of very smooth puree (like mashed banana, steamed apple, or dal water).
Timing Matters: Offer solids when the baby is alert and slightly hungry, but not overly tired or starving.
Texture: If they don't like purees, try slightly thicker textures or soft finger foods (baby-led weaning style).
Don't Force: Never force-feed. If they turn their head away, try again after a few days.
Consistency: Keep offering different foods; it sometimes takes 10-15 tries for a baby to accept a new taste.
If the baby is active and gaining weight, there is usually no need to worry. However, if you are concerned about their growth, please consult your pediatrician."
