My baby is 7 month old and is not eating solids much. She is getting her teeth now and also had cold and cough last week. Medication has been provided for cold and cough. I tried to feed her cerelac, apple puree, carrot puree but she will not have more than 3-4 spoons. Just want to know how do I feed her solids? Or should I wait till the cold completely subsides.

A. It is happening due to cold and cough so try to give more liquids like soups and light foods and keep feeding your baby if baby is not eating well and give sooji Upma and don’t give purees of carrot for sometime as it is heavy to digest

A. Hello dear parent! Babies tend to only feel spoons in the starting, it is normal. Continue feeding your baby well on demand for better health, nutrition and hydration. Start with one new food at a time mostly only during mornings. Give sips of water in between meals. Continue breastfeeding. Regularly massage your baby with Babyhug massage oil.
