Q.

My baby is 6 months 3 weeks old and has cold. we visited a doctor, took medicines, the cold reduced. But again in 2 weeks due to harsh climate conditions her cold started. Is it advisable to use a head cap during nights to prevent re occurence of cold?

A. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it can be allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination. steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like wikoryl, alex cold In vfeiral illness there can bhe cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration .
