Q.

My baby birth weight is 3.5kg. Now she is 1 yr old. She is now 8.5kg only. Is it okay? Because I have read that baby should be 3times birth weight at 1 year.

A. Namaste Mom,, Yes a full term baby is expected to almost triple their birth weight by age of 1 and then it doubles by age of 5. Currently their diet should consist of all family foods

A. You have read it correct three times of the birth rate or 10 kg whatever is on the higher side in your case your child should be 10.5 by completing the age of one year which is healthier than the average weight gain so you really need to work upon it it’s really less currently as per the age
