Q.
My baby 1.5 month old not taking breastfeeding and she will drink only expressed breast milk.while we encourage to give breastfeeding she will start crying

Vridhi RupaniMom of a 2 m old boy3 weeks agoA. you can identify hunger cues and try to make the baby latch on the breast earlier. the babies when extreme hungry and cranky donnot want to latch on breast as latching on breast and sucking is an effort, whereas expressed milk in bottle or katori is not an effort. keep trying it the baby will latch.

Some kids find it difficult to take direct breastfeeding which is when this kind of behaviour is seen so if you haven’t consulted lactation specialist yet you can because they can actually teach you how to directly feed the child to make the child comfortable to take direct latch from you which would be more comfortable for you and with the child as well
