screaming of the child is related to discomfort. My child of same age, does not cry when he is sleepy or hungry, he instead screams. he developed this few days ago. Before this he would not do that.

Crying of a Baby  is mostly because of infantile colic and gas related discomfort which is there commonly in night . It  can be relidfreved by medicine like colicaid or gastica drops containing dil oil and feniel oil with semethicone. 
other reasons could be hunger any illness, nasal blockage, ear pain, diaper rash and sometimes more conditions which needs to be ruled out and managed accordingly .

Teething maybe happening with your chat and that’s why your child is screaming due to itching and irritation so what you can do is you can try giving up teether to your child that should help and also massage the gums regularly with a soft and wet cloth and see if that helps
