In this here it is very difficult to comment properly until a proper exhamination or assessment is done to find out the exact cause so it is advisable to consult your doctor so that he could examine and evaluate properly and will guideo you accordingly for this .

You can keep cold pack or ice cube into a towel onto that that is what is going to be helpful for you because that is going to be helpful in reducing down the swelling I cannot suggest an ointment because it can buy mistake slip into the eyes of your child so just stick to cold sponging
