if 1 month old is having cold can we apply baby rub

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold is most of the time because of some viral infection or allergic condition and symptoms are usually sneezing, running nose, nasal congestion and fever. cough along with throat irritation are usually associated .
Treatment consists of antiallergic antipyretics analgesics and decongestants medicine .
As a home remedy steam inhalation would be very useful .
Medicines like wikoryl / tminic / Alex cold can be used in a proper dose for 3-5 days as per the symptoms .
Steam igynhalation is repeated frequently .

Sai Prasanthi R LMom of a 11 yr 6 m old boy3 years agoA. Hello dear parent! It is not advisable to use it. Try giving indirect steam inhalation to reduce the discomfort. Regularly massage your baby with Babyhug cold pressed coconut oil for skin warmth. Continue breastfeeding your baby well on demand. Use nasoclear saline drops. Consult your child’s doctor for advice.
