Q.

Hi Sir/Madam, My son is 6 months old, shall I start giving him water? if yes, as it is summer Is it okay if I gv him water by boiling and then letting it cold?

A. water should be given to the child in such a amount so that the child is passing urination more than 6 times per day. the colour of urine is pale yellow to transparent. the above two criteria should be achieved. either directly or indirectly water is given through food and juices or as water. but if it is less urine or it is concentrated urine then kindly give more water to the child as well as food rich in water as well as juice from fruits, coconut water, lime water etc as the child has completed 6 months of age so definitely you can start giving water to the child as well as other fluids

A. hi yes you can start giving water but a child doesn't need more than 40ml water per day so give few sips of water after meal or during play time Yes give boiled cooled water
