Q.
hi my baby is 1 year old.From last 2 days he is having loose motion and his appetite is almost zero he is taking breast milk. Please dr suggest me what to do and what food i can give to my baby.

Loose motion most of the time is because of some infection which could be viral or bacterial and in such case it is associated with symptoms like fever along with vomiting and loss of appetite . supportive treatment is very necessary where proper hydration should be maintained by giving ORS alonfg with that probiotic can be given like enterogermina or econorm in a proper dose . Antibioticds has their role only if it is bacterial infection . for this doctor guidance is necessary .

Just Avoid giving milk to the child not even breast milk because it is going to increase the idea you give more of curd and banana to the child it will help in controlling lose motions other than that you should always give ORS water and zinc supplement when a child is suffering with diarrhoea
