Q.

hi , I found that I have a thyroid in my early pregnancy and started 50mcg tab as per doc .now I have delivered and baby is 1.5 month old. Should I continue tablets or stop it , how to take a call?

A. thyroid medication should never be stopped immediately you need to slow down with decreasing dosage and also have a regular follow up about thyroid level and then with consultation of your doctor you can stop the medication

Q. I didn't have thyroid earlier but as a safety measures I was given Thyronorm 12.5mcg in my entire pregnancy and was continuing till yesterday when my baby girl turned 54 days old. I have stopped taking Thyronorm as per doc advise. I and my 54 days old daughter did TSH testing when I was still having thyroid medicine.
