Hi doctor, I'm pavithra my baby is 8 month old and I put on weight. As of now I'm feeding to my baby. What to do for weight loss?

A. Dear Pavithra, for weight loss, you should eat mindfully. Avoid high calorie foods, processed and packaged foods. Have a balanced diet having variety of food groups especially seasonal fruits and vegetables even green leafy vegetables. Have lean proteins like eggs, beans, pulses, low fat milk and milk products. Have healthy fats from almonds, flaxseed. Have small frequent meals and adequate fluid intake. Exercise every day for 45 to 60 minutes and have an active lifestyle.
