Hi All, My son fell down from cot which is one feet long on his one side.. I have kept ice bag and rubbed that area very well and no swelling seen.. Still I am fearing is there any cautious things would happen.. Pls suggest if any immediate remedy or doctor advice is required??? Thank you.

A. Any Fall injury specially head injury needs to be assessed properly . In any such case certain symptoms needs to be checked like loss of consciousness reccurrent vomiting or any abnormal moment or convulsions . Such case needs immediate medical intervention as there could be some internal injury . Otherwise application of ice locally to reduce the swelling and pain can be done along with some analgesic like paracetamol. Recurrent fall injury for a child should be avoided asg it can lead to some chronic manifestations occasionally . Also teeth injury should be rule out in any such case which is commonly associated andc can be easily missed out most of the time .
