hello Dr. my 6th month old baby suffring with cold since 6days im using solvin cold drops in daily 3times but cold couldn't control. can i continue this drops or not.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination.
steam inhalation will be beneficial ihn both the cases along with decongestant medicine like alex cold/ hatric 3/ sinarest.
As a part of viral illness there could be associated symptoms like cough and fever whidch needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration needs to be maintained .
