Cold most of the time is a  viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine  which syhould be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done and  according to the type of cough its prescribed.
if any  fever is tghere paracetamol can be given to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours  if required .

It Could probably be due to weather change in sometimes what happens when you get really exhausted through the day working and doing all other household chores you really get tired and sometimes fever and cold can appear and sometimes it could be due to allergy as well so get it checked once with your doctor
