Hello Doctor,
My 2 year old son cries for no reason. He does not understand when we say no to something and cries even more. When asked why he is crying, he does not say anything. Ex. If we treat him with a piece of cake when he asks and we say no when he asks for more and many such other reasons. He does not share anything with his cousins and makes an issue if someone eats out of his share. Sometimes, he wakes up at night and just cries, keeps kicking and does not say anything when asked. We are worried if these are ADHD symptoms. Kindly help.

I think your child is just hating the word no because for everything parents conveniently say no it’s not your problem it is in every household we convenience and no don’t do this no don’t do that that no one is so annoying for them it’s a negative word as per you know psychologist and all so try to deviate your child instead of saying no you can say for today you have eaten a lot so next time when I give you I’ll give you a little or two bites extra than what you have gotten now so try to shift your child to a positive outlook rather than saying no to everything you know how much does it impact your child we don’t realise it an early age but it has negative impact negative impact
