Doctor, I am 7 weeks pregnant (LMP: 15 July). My scan on 22 Aug showed an embryo with CRL 2.1 mm and no cardiac activity. A repeat scan on 2 Sep showed embryo growth to CRL 7.5 mm, but still no cardiac activity. The doctor is advising immediate D&C. I still have nausea/vomiting sensation and white discharge, but no bleeding or severe pain. I am requesting to wait 7 days and repeat the scan before D&C. Is there any possibility of cardiac activity appearing, and would waiting for another scan be medically safe?

In two scans there was no cardiac activity seem so it us not safe yo wait for another one week but still if you want you can discuss with your doctor about it and don’t take stress everything will be fine take good rest

I’m in some cases doctors actually waited till the time of 12 weeks because the heartbeat can come by that time but in your case what is the other situation that your doctor is actually advising you to get it done early that your doctor can only explain though some doctors actually wait till 12 weeks but currently you should proceed with what your doctor advising and tell them that I want to wait one more week maybe she will advise you
