Doctor, I am 7 weeks pregnant (LMP: 15 July). My scan on 22 Aug showed an embryo with CRL 2.1 mm and no cardiac activity. A repeat scan on 2 Sep showed embryo growth to CRL 7.5 mm, but still no cardiac activity. The doctor is advising immediate D&C. I still have nausea/vomiting sensation and white discharge, but no bleeding or severe pain. I am requesting to wait 7–14 days and repeat the scan before D&C. Is there any possibility of cardiac activity appearing, and would waiting for another scan be medically safe?
