Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prescribed.
if any fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the f tempergature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .

You can go ahead with giving Calpol to the child for fever and are for cold in on whatever issues along with fever you should get it checked with your doctor because right now infections are spreading quite a lot so maybe the fever is due to some of the infectionWrite Your Answer Here
