Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it can be allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination.
steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like wikorylf, alex cold
In viral illness there can be cough and fever which nexeds treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration .

If your child has a cold, make sure you protect others from catching it. If they have symptoms, keep them home from school and avoid contact with other children. Encourage your child to cover his mouth when sneezing and to use a tissue when they blow their nose
