Q.

#asktheexperts This question is directed to a gynaecologist or anyone who may be knowledgeable on this subject. I have been recommended Ovral L tablets for PCOD. I have already taken 1 packet from 10-30 June (21 days) & was told the next packet should be started 7 days later, which would have been 7 July. However my periods started on July 6 morning only & even on 7th, I was having heavy flow. I wasn't sure if I should start the new packet mid-flow &, therefore, I am in a confused situation today whether to start the packet now or take 2 tablets together (the missed one for 7th & today's) or whether the new packet has to be started 1 or 2 days later...please guide, thank you....

A. I think it would be better that you take it once your period stops and in case of any doubt you should consult your gynaecologist and whatever doubt you have associated with this that if you get your period should you continue with the medicine or should you take a break would be cleared by your doctor itself
